Sensitive Nordic Big Lakes

The overall objective is to find joint dimension of the Big Nordic Lake -management and having also the following central objectives: – to identify and define their natural and cultural heritage and define new management plans for nature protection areas – to achieve the concept for Big Lakes management – to raise up awareness and importance of the identified heritage starting from the point of view inhabitants until transnational dimension – to define common Big Lakes Culture and Nature Heritage Strategy – to use transnational methodological benchmarking of and find the best practises, dissemination for all target groups, branding Big Northern Lakes, – to use the specified common concept and strategy and its sustainability in spatial planning to ensure wealthy and long-term development for these regions.
