PURR – Potential of Rural Regions

The analysis will use ESPON results to benchmark the stakeholder regions in their European context and will develop and apply methodologies for identifying and realising territorial potentials in these places. It will increase European knowledge on territorial structures and trends and provide a transferable tool.

Expected outcome:

• Methodologies for assessing territorial potentials of rural regions and application to each participating region.
• Dataset combining existing ESPON data for these regions with additional data collected within project.
• Set of policy options for each partner region based on results of analysis of territorial potential.
• Synthesis of results for project as a whole, incl. recommendations for each participating region on how territorial potential might be taken forward.
