Pre-study for capasity building a network of cooperation in the field of Finno Ugric cultures, languages and sustainable tourism in the North

The small scale project is to build suitable and well-balanced cross-border partnerships and network in the areas of Eastern Finland and Northern areas of Sweden and Norway. Within the preliminary project we stregthen the cooperation with these four partners, hopefully also get some suitable additional partners for the next step, and prepare pland for sustainable cultural and tourism developlent between the areas.

The purpose of the overall project idea is to increase also cohesion in the Finno-Ugric language and culture areas which exist in the Nordic countries, to recognize and preserve their own linguistic identity and to open up connections to the rest of the Finno-Ugric world.

At the same, our objective is that the rest of wide audiencein the Nordic countries get information about the language minorities and their cultures found in the Nordic countries.

The goal is also to increase cultural tourism in the area, and create cooperation network in the South-North direction.
