BRIDGING YOUTH

BRIDGING YOUTH AND REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH DIALOGUE

The project aims at engaging young people in community development by
communication and information sharing.

The project aims to give a voice to the younger generation but also prepare them. Using
dialogue as a methodology for bridging youth and regional development experts, project
aims to raise awareness on urgent issues in Aurora Region, such as climate change,
green transition and its impacts, demographic changes, and indigenous people and
traditional livelihoods. The project offers a platform for young people to practice
dialogue skills, expand networks locally and transnationally, and build a common
ground for new initiatives.

Based on lessons learned from project activities, including participation in High North
Dialogue school, participants in the project will jointly create written recommendations
on the further development of dialogue methodologies to bring local development experts
and young people closer.

The project will contribute to the resilience of the Interreg Aurora Programme area by
empowering young people for new initiatives for community development and at the
same time empowering regional development experts to provide young people with support within existing resources and available expertise. International collaboration will
strengthen the capacity among organizations, build cohesion and help to address
common challenges and local needs.
