Join us in Lille!

Did you miss the atmosphere and the networking of the ESPON seminars? Then start organising your trip to Lille, 1-2 June 2022. We are preparing what we hope will be an outstanding last seminar for the ESPON 2020 Cooperation Programme.

With the support of the French Presidency, we are inviting you to discuss the new challenges that territorial cohesion is facing in Europe in times of overlapping crises.

We are proud to announce some of our speakers already, starting with Professor Carlos Moreno, from Pantheon Sorbonne University in Paris, famous for his «15 mn city / 30mn territory » concept, and representatives from all the EU Institutions:

  • Dragos Paslaru, MEP, Chair of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs
  • Stefano Palmieri, President of the Section for Economic and Monetary Union and Economic and Social Cohesion, EESC
  • Peter Berkowitz, Director Policy Development and Economic Analysis, DG REGIO

But ESPON seminars are all about content: the long terms impacts of COVID-19 on European regions and cities, the evolving regional economic interdependencies in times of war, the digital transition in public services, cultural heritage, sustainable transport, re-industrialisation of cities. And what ESPON 2030 will look like?
Register before 15 May (better today) and do not forget to book your accommodation in Lille.
